Update!

Its all good it will live again parts are ordered and oh look what I found...PARTS BIKE!

So With some help I was able to track down a crank for the bike! With the internet and small and large shops making and UPDATING websites I was able to contact several around the world. The parts Bike wound up going to a friend that needed it to fix his bikes. I would rather see someone on the road or in the bush then to have the parts they need and I don't sitting gathering dust.

The good the bad and the ugly

Well I got the bike insured and took it out. It kicked over on the second or third try. I took it out for a bit of a ride it was not too bad. Pulled through the gears ok. The piston and rings were new. Over all I am very happy with it!

Kitty (The GF) did a hell of a Job with the seat its not done quite yet!

Now The UGLY:
I was riding down to meet up with people on Sunday and the motor went CLUNK then the bike died.
Long story short the motor decided to say FUCK YOU and left its guts in the oil filter.
Well not its guts it just need a new crank not really a big deal

But for a 25 year old bike I kina expect at least a bump
Good thing the shop is done so I have the space to fix it.

Ok back on track now...

So I wired up the motor and started on the turn singles brake lights etc over the weekend.
Things have been moving along at a good rate. Over the weekend I made a few brackets for the turn singles.
After some looking humming and getting bitched out ( you know who you are) I have decided to replace the front fender.
I ordered one from Action along with some new pads for the front brakes. (Thanks Dean!)
I also picked up an ignition and need to make a mount for it.
I still need to give the throttle a look over as it sticks just a little.
Little bit more wiring, oil, mount the gas tank, headlight, chain, once over on the bolts, install front brakes ( thinking of powder coating the caliper),right hand bark buster and a few odds and ends.
I have decided to cover the side covers with some plastic rather than paint them. This way if i dont like them I can just peal it off and change it. And that is what I will end up doing.

Well here we are 12:15am ish been working on the bike lights are all done and mounted. The ignition is wired in and ready to go. Tank is mounted. New brakes are on and the new fender is on too...
It has been a fun build so far lots getting done. Lots of help from the local shops Action, Victoria Motorcycle sales, Island Powder coating, The foundry, Wheelie Junkie for tall of the help, the GF for letting me take over the workshop and building it up not to mention everyone else too.
I am aiming for tomorrow to have it all done and plated.
Oh ya before I forget, what do u think of the new fender? Best $40.00 I have spent.

Well I got the motor in!!

Some more time = More work done
Well I got the foot pegs, carbs, exhaust, basic electrical and a bit more....

As things move along

So here it is rolling Its a new fount fender and a custom rear one. The tank is one of two I have.
Been quite busy working at getting it together.
Chrome comes back tomorrow and then I cam put the rest of it together.
And Ya I know the fender looks like ass.

As it stands with the bike:
Motor is painted a flat textured kind of Motorcycle specific paint
Powder coated side covers
Powder coated frame, Swing arm, shock spring, fork lowers, foot pegs and mounts, kick stand, kick start
Chromed the valve cover bolts, side cover bolts, the oil line on the motor and a few brackets
New cables all around
Rebuilt the forks
Redoing the seat
New bearings
Painted a bunch of stuff
